Rule the Rail is a game - simulator for model train fans where they can make their own layout and choose the trains to run accross that layout.
The user can plan the tracks situation, switches, gates, the whole layout, set buildings, industrial plants, lights, persons, cars, set the terrain characteristics, platforms, elevations, plants, reliefs, railway elements, etc.
The game comes with a demo layout that can be modified, add tracks, etc. or just use it for playing and fun. A very realistic sound generator gives a very cozy ambient to the set, making all the sounds for trains (track hits, engine sound, whistle, etc.).
Track controls for switching directions, determine train motion and direction, open and close gates, different train types, steam, diesel, control their velocity and forward and backward commands, control signals, etc.
The game has interesting options such as place a camera on a train (i.e. focus a virtual camera that will look as an helicopter following the train), switch the whole layout to night, so all the buildings will light their lights, etc.
